Family Update March 3

Family Update March 3
Posted on 03/03/2017

1.  Good morning Wamsutta Families. The first deadline for ordering yearbooks has passed.  The last day you will still be able to order a yearbook is 4.1.  If you wish to get a yearbook, you must place your order by this date.  Information can be found here:

Please note, the school will no longer be providing a yearbook to every 8th grade student free of charge.  If you have any difficulty ordering online or have issues with internet access, please call our office.  We will be able to work any issues you may have out.

2. Thanks to those able to make the AHS Project Meeting last night.  We have two more meetings next week of interest, and I am including them for a second time in this update:  One is the Student Travel meeting on March 7
th.  It outlines the student travel opportunities for next year and beyond.  On March 8th, “Hidden in Plain Sight,” an interactive mock teenage bedroom, is designed to educate parents on the various hiding places that a teen who is misusing or experimenting with drugs or alcohol may have in their room. It also points out some peculiar but not so obvious things that might be found in their room that you may often not think twice about but could be a warning sign that their child is struggling with addiction.  Both flyers are attached.

3.  The girls’ volleyball league mentioned last week still has a day or two available to sign up, and participation is limited.  The flyer is attached.

4.  Fliers from ABACUS, SAGRA Field Hockey, and Softball information went home in all student backpacks today.

Thanks as always for your time and attention.
