Wamsutta Family Update 04/03/2020
Posted on 04/03/2020

Good morning Wamsutta Families.

Although the body of this email will be brief, the attached document is of vital importance.  It explains our weekly expectations for students for this next phase of our school year, where we shift from enrichment and extension activities to remote learning.  I know many have been concerned about what their students should be doing, and this document should provide both the structure and the content for the week ahead. It also contains the links for each grade level’s lesson plans for the week.  We will repeat this process each Friday. I am still hoping we will return, but our goal will be to improve these remote learning plans weekly for however long it may be.

Please read it carefully.  The students should as well.

I have only three other notes this week.

  1. All student email accounts (the ones that end in attleborops.net) are active.  If your student has trouble with accessing these, please let me know. As they are mostly all familiar with logging into google, they should already know their logins and passwords.  We hope to make family life a bit easier by funneling teacher to student communication through these emails. I’ll still do my weekly updates to you, and teachers likely will also, but more of the detailed information of individual assignments and feedback and the like will begin to move towards this channel.

  2. Term 2 grades are final and can be seen in Aspen.  We will be publishing the report cards through Aspen shortly.

  3. Next Friday is a school holiday.  Teachers have provided a full week of work for students, but will not be available on April 10th.  For other weeks with holidays, you can likely expect something similar.

I hope that you and your loved ones are ok.
