With Mr. Heal transitioning to the Associate Principal role at AHS, we are happy to announce the hiring of two new Assistant Principals for next year for WMS. Congratulations and welcome to Mr. Andrew Benharris & Dr. Paul Madden. Mr. Benharris previously worked as a Humanities teacher at Coelho Middle School and is currently the Assistant Principal at the Community School in North Attleboro. Dr. Madden comes to Wamsutta with experience in the Boston and Foxborough Public Schools and has also taught at the college level at Boston College & Connecticut College. They both will be great additions to the Wamsutta family.

Good Afternoon WMS Families: Congratulations to the 2022 WMS National Junior Honors Society Inductees! The induction ceremony took place Wednesday, May 4th at WMS.

We had 4 positive pools this week from the pool testing conducted on April 5th. We also had two other positive cases unrelated to the testing. The staff/student basketball game has been rescheduled to April 29th. Tickets from March 25th will be honored.

Its with sadness that I announce that Mr. Doug Heal, WMS Assistant Principal, will be leaving Wamsutta at the end of the school year.

The Grade 8 Student/Faculty Basketball game will be held at WMS on Friday, March 25th. Doors open at 6:00 PM, game begins at 6:30 PM. Information is going home with students today regarding ticket sales.

Congratulations to Grade 6 student Anna DelPozzo who was a recent Golden Ticket winner from the Feinstein Foundation! Anna won a $5000 donation from the Feinstein Foundation for Wamsutta Middle School as well as $500 to donate to a charity of her choice. Anna in turn generously made the donation to he Rebeckha Lynn Whitefield foundation. Thank you as always to Alan Shawn Feinstein & the Feinstein Foundation for their continued generosity to the students of Attleboro!

Congratulations to Mrs. Simkins & the Mathletes who represented Wamsutta in the Regional Chapter Mathcounts competition: Megan Chace, Destry Maling, Gabriel Reid, Elijah Askew and Patrick Fitzgerald.
