Just a reminder from the Wamsutta PTO about upcoming events happening this week:
On Friday, October 7th, the PTO is hosting a fundraiser at Altitude in North Attleboro from 10am - 10pm. Upon arrival, tell them you are with Wamsutta Middle School. There will be raffles for jump passes and a silent auction for a birthday party package valued at $500, from 4pm to 6pm. If you can't make it on Friday, but would like to enjoy Altitude another day in October, mention Wamsutta when you purchase tickets, and a portion of the sales will go towards the fundraiser.
Sunday, October 9th, is the last day to purchase apparel from Wamsutta's online store. Use the following link to place an order:

Wamsutta yearbooks are on sale now with special offering and pricing! From now until Friday, October 15, yearbooks will only cost $22,. Additionally, they will come with 4 free icons if you opt to have your name inscribed on the book for an additional $10.
Beyond Oct 16, the price increases to $25 until Dec 30, when the price ends at $30 for the remainder of the year.

Kiera Chetlen and Margaret Macalister, two of our Middle School STEAM teachers, participated in Buttonwood Park Zoo’s weekend professional development event entitled “Extreme Zoo Makeover: A STEM Approach to Habitat Design.” They will be bringing this knowledge back to their students during MA STEM Week (October 17-21). Good Morning WMS Families:
This morning at approximately 9:10 AM, a fire alarm was activated unplanned. Students exited the building quickly and safety and the Attleboro Fire Department responded to the school. After a thorough investigation, the Attleboro Fire Department deemed it a false alarm and students re-entered the building at 9:30 AM.
We commend the students for their behavior and, as always, we thank the Attleboro Fire Department for their quick response in ensuring our students are safe.
