WMS: Please see the following updates from the PTO: - Savers FUNDrive Saturday, April 29 and Saturday, May 6 - Parents Clean Out Those Closets! Don't forget we are hosting a Savers Clothing Drive this Saturday from 9AM - 12PM. We will also host another collection on May 6th. You can drive up to the front of the school and drop your bags of clothing, coats, shoes, bedding, sheets, towels, curtains, etc. All items should be clean and bagged securely. If anyone would like to donate a small amount of time, we will need a few volunteers to collect bags between 9-12 and a few drivers at noon to bring them to the location we are storing them at. Thank you! - Important Color Run Deadline - PLEASE READ - Students who would like a shirt for the Color Run must have raised a minimum of $30 by MONDAY, MAY 1ST. Additionally prize levels for the color packs and swag will be calculated on this date as well, so your student will get prizes based on what they have raised as of May 1st. Wamsutta's Color Run will take place on Friday, May 19th. All students were given information during the kickoff, along with a collection envelope. You can easily register your student by going to: http://shop.schoolathon.org/198171 Our group ID is: 140384. PLEASE NOTE - Any student who wants to participate must be registered. Even if your child does not want to participate, but wants to enjoy the afternoon outside, listen to the DJ, enjoy a treat and watch, they must register, as there is a consent that needs to be acknowledged by the parent in the registration form (essentially by registering, you are consenting to your child being able to go outdoors during the event). ANY STUDENT WHO HAS NOT REGISTERED BEFORE THE COLOR RUN, WILL NOT BE ALLOWED OUTDOORS THE DAY OF THE EVENT. The PTO is hosting lots of raffles for the students weekly up until May 19th. They are also asking for donations of small waters for the event - these can be dropped off in the school office. To keep up-to-date on the Color Run and other PTO run school events, please check out Facebook @Wamsutta PTO. - Support WAMSUTTA MIDDLE SCHOOL WAMSUTTA COLOR-A-THON 2023 THIS EVENT IS BEING HELD TO HELP SUPPORT ALL PTO SPONSORED EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES - Teacher Appreciation - The PTO is looking for help in rewarding our amazing teachers for all their hard work. If you would like to donate a giftcard or scratch ticket to be given out during teacher appreciation week, we would be grateful for the support. Ideally, giftcards would be in $10 increments and could be for anything teachers might enjoy: Amazon, Dunkins, Starbucks, restaurants or retail stores such as Target. This is one small way we hope to show appreciation to them. - The PTO is happy to announce that it recently purchased a mascot for Wamsutta Middle School. Our mascot wolf will now be a welcome addition at our school's events. We plan to have a naming contest with students in the near future. As always, we greatly appreciate your support. Our efforts and fundraising for the PTO go directly back to the teachers and students for things such as subsidizing field trip costs, in-school programs, events, supplies, technology, etc. We could not do all of this without the help of parents
