Anyone willing to donate a raffle item may sign up through the Sign Up Genius. Grade level raffle baskets are also being put together for the event. If you would like to donate an item to be included, the basket themes are as follows: Grade 8: Sports Basket (items such as basketballs, footballs, baseballs, sports shirts, hats, trading cards, etc.) Grade 7: Gaming Basket (items such as giftcards for Fortnite, Roblox, Gamestop, Nintendo, Xbox along with snacks, popcorn, candy, etc.) Grade 6: Snack Basket (items such as candy, chips, popcorn, cookies, goldfish, trail mixes, etc.) Grade 5: Ice Cream Basket (items such as toppings, sprinkles, cherries, cones, candy, ice cream scoop, sundae cups, giftcards for ice cream shop to purchase ice cream, etc.) We want to emphasize this is voluntary. Penny Wars It’s time for a little friendly competition! Penny Wars will take place March 4 – March 8. Students may bring in pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters and dollars. To earn points, students may place pennies in the jar representing their grade during lunch periods. One point will be earned for every penny in the container. Students may place silver coins and dollars in another grade’s jar to deduct points from their total; they will lose points based on the value of the coin. A nickel will cause a loss of 5 points, a dime 10 points, a quarter 25 points and a dollar bill 100 points. The grade with the highest number of points at the end of penny wars will win an ice cream party sponsored by the Wamsutta PTO. To keep up-to-date on PTO run school events, please check us out on Facebook @Wamsutta PTO.
